How Does the Freezer Work?

A freezer uses a refrigeration circuit — compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator. The compressor pressurises the refrigerant so it sheds heat in the condenser; the refrigerant then expands, turns very cold, and absorbs heat from inside the cabinet as it passes through the evaporator.
